Favor To Dream Again

It’s a new season! It’s time to climb out of the box….

The Father is inviting His children to dream with Him again….. inviting, beckoning, calling, entreating!

It is amazing that He has given us His Holy Spirit as a pledge of His inheritance… a pledge of what is to come…. when we have a promise, a pledge of what is to come, it fills our hearts with hope, and HIS HOPE does NOT disappoint!!!

We Have Access To His Dreams

He is calling us to dream with Him again…. He is looking for sons and daughters who will climb up high with Him, crawling into His lap to see what He sees, hear what He hears (what His heart beats for), and feel what He feels. We are seated with Him in the heavenly places!

We have direct access to His heart! It doesn't get any closer that that!

In other words, we get to dream what the Father's heart and desires are for us and for the world!

Ephesians 2:4-6 says “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us…made us alive together with Christ…and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…"

Can you see it? Can you see yourself sitting with Him, His arm on your shoulder in approval, as you look out across the earth and dream together? What is He saying? What is He whispering to your heart? Beloved, it’s time! Come out of the shadows…. come out of hiding… climb out of the box… there are new plans afoot! It’s time to toss aside past regrets and throw disappointment at His feet, because He is building something NEW!

Nehemiah is a great example of what dreaming with God looks like.

After Jerusalem’s walls were desolated and destroyed, Nehemiah mourned… and then dreamed with God. When the king asked what his request was, the Bible says Nehemiah "prayed to the God of heaven” and then proceeded to express his desire. He climbed out of the box, took a risk, and asked to be reassigned to go back to Judah. This is the royal cupbearer, asking for a leave of absence to go back and rebuild the wall of his home city - the city from which he was exiled…. which means the city was once the king’s enemy and then the king’s captive… Friends, that’s outside the box! Making that kind of request is not your everyday question of the king!

God's Dreams Will Always Have God's Provision

But Nehemiah didn’t stop there. He knew His dream was in agreement with the will of God, and so He was able to move forward with boldness, watching the Lord unfold not only permission but complete provision for His dream:

“And I said to the king, 'If it please the king, let letters be given me for the governors of the provinces beyond the River, that they may allow me to pass through until I come to Judah, and a letter to Asaph the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the fortress which is by the temple, for the wall of the city and for the house to which I will go.' And the king granted them to me because the good hand of my God was on me.” - Nehemiah 1:7-8

You can rest assured that dreaming God's dream will always be backed up by God's provision!

Friends, that is FAVOR! and that is the type of provision heaven has already marked for your conquest with the King! The good hand of your God is on you! What dream is God building in your heart in this season? As you sit with Him in the secret place, as you quiet your heart before Him, what do you feel Him breathing on? What is He whispering to you? What ideas are beginning to bud in your soul? Pay attention… ponder these things… lay them out before Him as you ask for His direction… and then: move with Him. Climb out of the box. As He calls you to come to Him, stepping out of the boat and onto the water, trust that He has already gone ahead of you to make a way. Take that first step. Make a bold move. Climb out of the box. And begin to dance on the waves of your destiny with Him!

Dreaming with you,
